For those who wish to join a community-based ecotourism activity please read the following notice
- Purchase tour programs from nationally registered tour operators or local tour operators in Luang Namtha, Muang Sing, Muang Long, Nalae or Vieng Phoukha town.
- Before departure of each tour, all visitors are required to attend a pre-departure briefing that should be organized by local tour operators.
- Unorganized trekking, rafting and kayaking, multi-day mountain bike trips and visits to remote ethnic minority villages are not permitted in Luang Namtha Province.
- Tour operators from other provinces must use a local inbound ground operator in Luang Namtha – it is not permitted to organize community-based tours without participation of a local operator.
- All visitors must obey Lao laws and regulations. We ask that you please be culturally sensitive, always keep your cool, and set a good example for Lao youth by dressing modestly and not using illegal drugs.
