Vat Luang Khone Temple
District: Namtha
Description: Vat Luang Khone Temple is located at Luang Village, an ethnic Kalom (Tai Yuan) village, and is the oldest Buddhist temple in the district.


Muang Sing Temples
District: Sing
Description: Tai Lue, the ethnic group most common to the Valley of Muang Sing, are devoutly Buddhist. Hence, there are 23 vats (temples) and monasteries in the area. Near the center of town there a few important wats to visit. Vat Luang, the most important temple in the area, is located off the main road next to the museum. Vat Namkeo Luang, which has a large monk residency, is also quite beautiful and is located on the road to Xiengkok, just as you turn off from the paved road to Namtha on the right. Vat Chiang In and Vat Chiang Lae are a short walk from Vat Luang.


Vat Vieng Neua Kao (Old Vieng Neua Temple)
District: Namtha
Description: Vat Vieng Neua Kao is the old temple of Vieng Neua Village, before the village moved across the main road to make room for the extension of the airport. The old temple is still used by the village and is a peaceful place to visit. You can visit this temple on the Luang Namtha Valley Route


Xieng Teung Stupa
District: Muang Sing
Description: That Xieng Teung (Xieng Teung Stupa) is the most important stupa in Muang Sing. It is said to contain the Adam’s apple of Buddha. To the left of the stupa are some stairs that lead to a sacred fountain and sacred stone.


That Poum Pouk Stupa
Districts: Namtha
Description: The stupa is located at Nam Ngaen village on a hill in the northeast part of the Namtha Valley on the Luang Namtha Valley Route. The original stupa was constructed in 1628 to demarcate neutral territory between the Kingdoms of Lane Xang in Luang Prabang and Lan Na in Chiang Mai).


Luang Namtha Stupa
District: Namtha
Description: Luang Namtha Stupa was originally built by the King of Xieng Saen as a symbol of friendship. The stupa was rebuilt and is perched on the mountain overlooking Luang Namtha Town, just a short walk from the main street. Sunset and sunrise is a good time to visit. You can visit this stupa along the Luang Namtha Valley Route.
